Visit from Australian members of parliament

On December 2, Supervisor Tim Smith, and Santa Rosa Council members Jane Bender and Steve Rabinowitsh welcomed two Members of Parliament from New South Wales, Australia. The MPs selected Sonoma County as one of a handful of places to visit throughout the US, Canada, and Europe because of this county's exemplary local sustainability initiatives, including the Ecological Footprint and the Climate Protection Campaign. Coordinator Ann Hancock, Board member John Garn, Technical Advisor Ned Orrett, and Susan Briski presented information about Sonoma's many trailblazing endeavors to lighten up and live together on one planet.
